    The test sample has to be flown 2,500km to Perth, and if it’s positive it’s unlikely the detention centre has treatment/isolation facilities which highlights part of the absurdity of quarantining these people on a prison island

    The mine burned for 4 weeks. Some of the bushfires this summer have burned for that long or longer, sending ash and smoke from not just trees but buildings, cars, the contents of garages full of tins of paint and plastic into the air. We just don't know what this does to people
